Virtual Graduation Ceremony @ HUST amid nationwide COVID-19 outbreak

On September 5th 2021, the Graduation ceremony for HUST graduates of the AY 2020-2021 was celebrated in online mode via Microsoft Teams platforms and also livestreamed on the fanpage of HUST and its schools respectively.

In 2021, HUST had 3288 new bachelors and engineers in total, including 81 graduates with the highest distinction, 593 graduates with high distinction, and 2145 graduates with distinction. Especially, for this year, HUST congratulated 10 international students for their achievements.

In the context of the prolonged social distancing order which has been implemented for weeks in Hanoi according to Directive 16 of the Prime Minister due to the complicated evolvement of COVID-19 across the country, HUST still made effort to organize the Graduation ceremony for the year 2021 as every year in the past.

Addressing at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang – HUST President expects that HUST graduates will have higher responsibilities towards their parents, family, and society, as an adult. Assoc. Prof. Thang emphasized: “We are always proud of you and believe in you. Stepping out from the gate of HUST, new graduates are warmly welcomed to join the big house – HUST Alumni Network, in order to maintain and foster your precious established relationships between friends and friends, teachers and students, as well as among different generations of students”.

Liyanaarachige Dinali Thushanga Jayasinghe – new Bachelor in Electronics and Telecommunications of Cohort 62 shared: “I’d like to express my gratitude towards the HUST and the Vietnamese government for providing me this priceless opportunity.
